I saw something similar to this on a TV site, where rumor is that some WGNO/WNOL employees got the pink slip after the hurricane.

So, what's happening on the radio side?

I saw a couple of things on All-Access, both pertaining to Entercom NO.

One was that Heather from Bayou 105.3 is now doing middays at 94.1 the Buzz, an Entercom "rock-40" station in Memphis. In fact, they already have her bio up on the site.
So, it seems she's staying in the company.

However, it seems that C.J. McKay may be gone from Magic 101.9, as they're already advertising for someone to fill his spot.

Any word on anything from CC or Citadel?

Quite a few New Orleans market people are leaving their New Orleans posts in favor of jobs in other markets due to the obvious circumstances. Lets face it as of right now and in the near future the New Orleans market as a whole is completely dead as far as revenues are concerned. This will probably hinder the sales side of New Orleans radio and TV and other similar situations for a good few years until the core client base has returned to the market. I also think the corporations won't be quick to rebuild their locations due to this problem. It is going to be interesting how the demographics are going to pan out in the future. Think about that one. Here's a list of people I know that are no longer at their post: Jim Owen/OM WRNO/WNOE, Carla Boatner Farrell/Clear Channel OM.

Arbitron books for the market won't be issued for the Summer and Fall so basically all stations are even keel right now.. I read somewhere's that the ratings won't really be correct for another 5 years as the actual population of the area is unknown and estimates will basically be a guesstimate at best.

I have noticed on some of the New Orleans TV stations however, they are actively recuiting new sales in Houma/Thibodaux more than they did before...

But I agree with Josh, the market is gonna become like a lower market for a few years in that it's gonna become a training ground instead of a goal for a while for people who do transfer in IMO. Also the ad rate etc. is going to be way down as we are going to be probably guesstimated at in the 70s or 80s in market rating for the next few years, and is gonna require creative marketing such as going into the rural areas to sell that they haven't really explored before...

I will say however that with people going back to a sort of resemblance of normal in Jefferson and parishes west of Orleans, I think the time frame in some respects for being "dead" is going to be less than some think... but media in New Orleans has a good year or so of hurting ahead...
