Remember Dave Wingert?

Not sure, even I think it's a bit much - especially if nobody complained. And even if they did, there are people who have gotten away with much worse than a little f-bomb slip on TV newscasts that appear on YouTube....

Dave is a wonderful talent, full of those qualities that make DJ's personable and relatable. He had a knack for wearing it on his sleeve, and when you do mornings this can be an asset, no doubt. I was in Omaha in the summer of '09 and just listening to no more than three breaks, I felt I learned more about him than listening to a liner-card jock for months. That is quite a talent.

That being said, these type of personalities can let it slip sometimes, and Dave probably was guilty of that. So...
why was he fired? Two reasons come to mind...one this is Omaha, a conservative community that demand a result like this. Perhaps more likely, management was not happy with this outspoken personality on some other issues, and this is the straw that broke the camels back. If management likes a personality, a slip up will usually not result in firing. If they don't, a slip up will be the reason to fire.

Dave Wingert is very good. I'm sure he will land on his feet.

Itshay happens.

But come on.....SERIOUSLY.

I have heard WORSE stuff than Dave Wingert in Nebraska......
