I My friend Bill heard that he might be building his own oldies station near Charlotte North Carolina. I hear he has a big bankroll, and he worked in Baldwinsville once. Hope this happens. I used to hear him on WGAR in Cleveland once.
Shaef and I went to O.C.C. together and later worked at WADR. He did work at WSEN when they were country but I think he worked at WHEN for a while too. Then he moved on to Florida. I haven't heard from him since. If he is getting his own station I wish him the best of luck. He's a good guy and deserves it.
His name is SHAFER..and I was PD at WHEN when Jim and I got to work together there..when we were in Flroida I was morning show partners with him at WSUN for a couple of years. He and his wife Maggie are in Charlotte, and both are healthy and successful. Jim is also in an oldies live band called "Band of Gold" He may very well have gotten a CP for a station. I'd work with him anytime. A card carrying "nice guy"
