Reading some of the comments of the original thread from three years ago, it's clear that he impacted so many people, whether you were a colleague or just a casual radio listener.
I had the pleasure of working with John at Sunny 95. When I left there I would hear him around town once in a while, but didn't realize until about a year ago he'd passed away. He was the best guy, I loved working with him, hearing about his kids and wife and just enjoying his sense of humor. I saw just today he's up for the Tx Radio Hall of Fame. I'd so love to see him make it in.
Jay Walker! I think of you too when I think of Sunny. I miss seeing you in your shades 24/7, you were such a cool dude back then. Probably still are. (I did the eve. show 6-12.) Saw Stubie from YC just briefly a couple of years back. We talked about you guys then too. That was a fun gig. Even if we were the red headed step child.
