I was trying to place the name, and then I saw "Carolina's a classic Hits", which was a really good online station that folded a few years ago, due to costs involved. He ran the entire thing, including voice tracks, programming, etc. sounded fantastic for a one man operation.

Haven't heard Mike Moore's voice in a while. Seems I remember him first on WCBX in Eden and later own WLOE in Eden, which I believe he owned.

MikeMooreMedia
Owner, MikeMooreMedia and RCR. WSAT, Salisbury, NC, 1960-1966. Wingate College, UNC-Chapel Hill (RTVMP), 1966-1970. WCBX, WLOE, Eden, NC and WMYN, Mayodan, NC, 1972-2019. MikeMooreMedia

He was part-owner of 'LOE and 'MYN for years. I believe the two stations merged in '91, may not have it correct. IMHO, when Mike (the brains and button puncher) decided it was time to leave, Dick Hall (the other guy who was a Lawyer in Greensboro) decided it was time to leave, as well. We've worked together over the years and keep in contact as much as possible LOL. He listened to me some, when I worked at 'CLW and said I did a good job, which I consider a great compliment. He did something I've never seen any other station owner do, which I'll never forget. Back when I preached and had a broadcast on with him, the feller before me was going off the stations. Subsequently, Mike called me, informing me of this development and asked me who I'd like to have on before me. I recommended him an older, faithful-as-the-day-is-long preacher from another state and he stayed with him for some time and did right by him. Re: Rick Freeman, I first heard of him through the old MidCarolinaRadio site and I believe I have some Rick Freeman air checks downloaded from that site, I'll have to look. Thanks for the reply, glad I was able to jog your memory and introduce you to a good podcast(er), the only game in town when it comes to local news, etc.
