Reminder: The Rescheduled Rapture Is October 21!

Rumor has it that Harold Camping has retired - if not forced to retire - and his Washington and Philadelphia stations are reportedly in a "tentative" agreement to be sold to CBS Radio. Nothing about WFME.

IIRC, WFME was never in play. This was just a deal for Philly and Baltimore.
Too bad Family Radio didn't make the move a few years ago when stations were valued in the stratosphere.

My guess is that WFME and KEAR will be the last ones to go.

Family Radio has been there since 1958 when Harold Camping found the Christian network and it can be heard on KEAR in San Francisco, WFME in New York City, WFRH in Kingston, NY and so on. I don't really listen to the network because of this whole "Judgement Day"/"End of the World" thing was ridiculous, but I hope Kingston's WFRH would sell off to Sunrise Broadcasting to take over the Family Radio Network to flip over to a simulcast of WGNY's HD2 channel known as "Fox Drive FX" at 91.7. Hudson Valley needs a dance station like the way "Pulse 87" did since 2009. I've read an article about it according to the source that Harold Camping would leave Family Radio soon. He's 90 years old, and he is going to get him out of his hands of the whole Christian network. As I said, WFRH in Kingston needs a dance format if Family Radio couldn't survive.

I hope Family Radio's days are numbered. I don't listen to Christian radio.

Update a 3.8 quake hit Oakland again near the Occupy Oakland camp and Family Radio...

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/10/28/BALN1LN75V.DTL

I know we're getting our jollies in hating on Mr. Camping, but after what happened in Japan earlier this year, I feel a little uneasy trying to make a jestful remark about the earthquakes happening in his area... so I won't.

I live near oakland and the 3.8 that hit Oakland was a real story yesterday it was not a joke.

An earthquake isn't the end of the world, it just shows you where the edge is located.

I know that because quakes are expected here at the ring of fire.
