Remote Starts

How do these work. If a CD player has a parallel port in the back, can I use that and connect it to the consol? Or does remote starts have something to do with RS-232?

The required terminals usually documented in the manual for the particular CD player. I use the Denon DN961FA's and they interface fine to my console. Between the CD manual and the book for your board you should be all set.

Some players do not have any interface, if that is the case you can find the solder points behind the switch, add a small relay and rob power from the player. Then mount a jack of some sort on the back of the player and it's ready to go.

In other words, I should hire an actual engineer, since I have no idea what you just said. I was hoping it was as easy as plugging in cables. I was obviously wrong.
