Cucuy is on LIVE on Saturday afternoon on KWKW 1330 AM. Since when is he working for Lotus/ESPN Deportes Radio? Maybe David knows. How the mighty have fallen. Piolin interviews the President and the 1st lady and Renan is on an AM station on Saturday.

I think the time is brokered by Renan's new manager who has been running brokered shows on stations on the outskirts of LA for decades.

Somewhat ironic note: Renan and Piolin worked for the same company at two different times... liberman in 92-93 and of course on KSCA over a decade later.

That explains it. I thought it was odd that he would be on Saturday afternoon. Didn't know or remember them working for Liberman, but of course remember how they both worked at KSCA. Univision chose the right person in Eddie Piolin!
 
Renan is not brokering time at KWKW. He signed a standard contract which also gives the station the right to create a syndicated Saturday show....By the way, Bill Handel is also on an AM station on Saturdays. :-\

Handel's Saturday show averages about a 3.0 share 25-54; Renán's morning show in Albuquerque did not even make the book.

It's interesting that, assuming the show to be a station property, there is no mention of it on the station website and the program grid shows "paid programming."

The show was syndicated twice. It did poorly and was cancelled on each occasion.

The guy went to do mornings at La Raza / KLAX, where he was syndicated to other SBS stations as well as non-competitive Entravision markets as well as independent stations in places like San Diego.

And that went really well. ::) Where's the boogeyman? All I see at La Raza now is a hunk, a mare, and a baboon.
 
David Edwardo...Time will tell how he does. He has only been on the air two weeks so its a bit early to compare him on a ratings basis to Handle....
A Saturday show is a much different animal than a M-F morning show...I think he could be very relavent again.

My question to others is what period of time is a fair test for a personality in a PPM world...( for a Saturday show or a weekday show)?

Actually, that is not so... for part of last year and into 2010 KRZZ was ahead of KSOL.
