I am looking at some info about Renda with the ratings. It seems Renda knows oldies in Oklahoma City. Heck 3 out of their 4 stations are in the top 5 and their AC and oldies station sit a number one and number two respectively. I wish I could say the same here. Renda one day will be up their in the ratings controling a portion of the market. EJZ and GNE will proably be up their. KQL may get their but it will take time.

Oh I saw something (forget where) that Renda may change the name of WSOS FM to Star 94.1? Call sign still the same just new name. Anyone have a clue?

Actually The PD is in OKC is helping out with WKQL and the music. If they would only get some jocks and market the station.

I could totally see Renda wanting to distance the FM from the AM (which as I understand, they did NOT purchase, correct?).

Hey, does anyone else listen to the Funky Flashback holiday weekends that WW1 puts on? I love them. But notice they run sweepers or promos between every track when they do that to avoid a train wreck...or at least diminish the impact of one.

That's part of why I think Kool MIGHT sound better with jocks: not only can they "hold everything together," but they may be able to point out bad transitions, etc.

I am suprised that when Renda bought WSOS-FM that they did not force 3 Point Media to change the call sign of WSOS-AM. I would not be suprise if WSOS-AM goes completley dead in the near future. Would allow 1160 to get a better signal. Also I can pick up both in Middleburg by the way. Crazy?

History repeats itself

If that's the case, it'll be the second time they've used "Star." For those who don't remember, WSOS was "Star 105.5" very briefly circa 1992.
