No, you are right. There are some slight variations around the dial (minute or two)for all the main players but for the most part the spots all run around the same time. I guess the feeling is if any station in the cluster is running music instead, listeners can jump from one station to another and that would not settle well with the advertisers.
I may have the need to go mellow lately but virtually all my radio listening in the car is Sunny 94.1 and Lite 96.1. Even Lara on 96.1 is more toned down than normal and personally I find that makes the morning show with Arthur Crofton even more enjoyable.
Speaking of 94.1, they could get noticed in Jax pretty quickly if they go all holiday sound right after Thanksgiving. Given tight promotion budgets at Renda, this could be something very do-able and advertiser friendly. More on that later. I think 96.1 should also introduce the sounds of the season much earlier than they did last year to solidify their already growing trend.
