Renda's AC KMGL plays OneRepublic - Apologize (without Timbaland)

Just came to visit Oklahoma City this weekend with my mom to visit my uncles and cousins and was listening to Magic 104.1 KMGL while in OKC. I was surprised that Renda Broadcasting's AC KMGL plays OneRepublic's version of "Apologize" without Timbaland.

Citadel's (eventually Cumulus Media's) Hot AC KYIS in Oklahoma City also plays the version without Timbaland alongside with Renda's AC KMGL, but CBS Radio's AC KVIL and CC's Hot AC KDMX in Dallas plays the version with Timbaland.

Does many other AC's, Hot AC's, or Top 40's play the version without Timbaland?

AC WMYI in Greenville, SC plays the OneRepublic only version, last time I heard. Not sure about the other Clear Channel stations. I've never understood why Timbaland gets top billing with this one - all he did was add a few sound effects and "eh, eh" occasionallly in the background. I prefer the original, myself.

I actually thought the One Republic version charted separately back in 2008 (cause there's no way spins for One Republic/Apologize would've counted towards Timbaland...)

It's just like Quincy Jones. He gets top billing on his music, though you rarely ever hear his voice on his music. Or at least the ones that's played on the radio.
