Rene Auberjonois, 79 ("Benson", "Deep Space Nine", "Boston Legal")

The guy had tremendous range. He could play a giggly, silly character like Clayton Endicott on Benson.
And then transition into a dark, somewhat sinister character like Odo on Deep Space Nine.

I didn't watch "Benson" when it was first on. I just assumed it would be like "Soap". Then there was a broadcast TV series in 1999 called "Screen Gems Network" where for an hour each day a station could pretend to be a cable channel and show a pair of classic series. For several months episodes of "Benson" were paired with episodes of "The Jeffersons". I know when they did "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie" each pair of episodes had a common theme.

So I did get to see what a moron Clayton Endicott was and how brilliant Benson was. Even the governor was a moron! It was quite a good show and actually G-rated.

When I was in college one of the local OTA stations would air reruns of Benson at 4PM.
I came to appreciate the show from that.

The first TV mention of the internet (then known as DARPAnet) was on an episode of Benson.
