HELL I THINK THEY GOT THEIR ASS KICKED BBY THE WEATHER AND TRAFFIC STATION. . I GUESS PLAYING CHRISTINA AGUILERA, NELLY FURTADO, AND JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE 60X/DAY DIDNT QUITE GET THE JOB DONE, DID IT?? CONGRATS GO OUT TO KWYL, FOR ANOTHER GREAT BOOK, ALTHOUGH I HAVE MOVED ON IN MY CAREER, IT'S NOT SAD TO SEE MR GOMEZ SINKING SHIP GOE DOWN [EDIT]. . . I JUST REMEMBER THE PROMOS BOASTING AND DISRESPECTING OTHER INDIVIDUALS AT KWYL, TRYING TO MAKE YOU SOUND GOOD, BUT WHO'S LAUGHING NOW?? WHAT YOU GONNA DO NOW EDDIE START PLAYING BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ? YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED WITH YOUR RHYTHMIC FORMAT, ANTICIPATING THE "TOP 4O" SWITCH WILD MADE . . .GOOD LUCK ANYWAYS, I GOTTA BET WITH ANOTHER FORMER WILD EMPLOYE . . .I SAY KWINZ IS GONE BY JUNE OF '07. . From a technical standpoint, KWNZ has a 3600 watt twig at 424 feet Height above Avg. Terrain (with directional antenna pattern), whereas KWYL has a 39,000 watt stick at 2928 feet Height above Avg. Terrain (with a non-directional antenna pattern)... that does make a difference. And yes, I do remember hearing KWNZ always trying to bash KWYL on air, and their program director, Pattie Moreno, at the time... it was very very small market radio on their behalf. Looking at the 12+ numbers, in the last book, since KWYL changed its status to "CHR/pop", their ratings only went up .2 from when they went from Rythmic to Pop. In my opinion, KWNZ has the better production package. On-air talent, KWYL has a slight edge... but that depends if they can figure out what their "final plans" are. That station has gone through more morning shows (or morning show partners) in the past few years... and I see they are now looking for a morning show co-host as we speak. KWNZ needs to drop Kidd Kraddick in the Morning... the show does not fit in Reno at all (but more importantly upgrade their transmitting power). All in all, the two stations could be much much better sounding and run, both from Eddie Gomez and corparate yes-man Nick Elliot. But its Reno... what more should we expect? Maybe Citadel will sellout to Clear Channel (since you know they want the KOH powerhouse) and turn 102.9 into a Kiss-FM and something might sound decent down here. Until then... we have our satellite radio and cds.

I've got a question for you Mr. GameRekignizeGame, if indeed you have moved on in your "career", why would the current ratings situation in Reno be of any relevance to you? Is it possible that maybe, hypothetically speaking, your career possibly went south after your departure from Kwyl, and perhaps you are nothing more than a board-op at this present time? Or is it that you are working in a market such as Butte, Montana?? When i read your post Re: Reno Ratings, it sounded as if though you were a tad bit jealous, or upset at something that might have happened to you while working in the Reno area. Oh by the way, spellcheck works wonders, as does "Hooked on Phonics". . . See the proper way to spell "goe" is go, and "employe" is employee. If you have big enough "cojones" to create such a post, please post your real name, so we know who to give credit to for such grand displays of intellect. As far as Kwnz goes, their production sounds great, on air & mixers sound great, and i think overall sound a heck of alot better than wild 102.9 . .That's just my opinion, and I felt the need to reply to what i thought was a personal attack, with no substance . .
