Renting/Leasing equipment

Most of them seem to be in NY, and most of the stuff is the type of thing you might need for a remote--codecs, pa systems, pa mixers, wireless mikes, etc.

Given the "digitization" of the industry, it's about like leasing computer equipment. Since the equipment becomes obsolete very rapidly, the lease payments quickly escalate past the original cost of the equipment since there is no residual value at the end of the lease period.

Probably cheaper in the long run to get a good rate on a credit card & buy the stuff outright.

Harris Corporation used to have a leasing program, but I haven't looked into any leases in quite a while. They still have their transmitter plant in Quincy as does Broadcast Electronics. Harris' main office is in Mason, OH.<P ID="signature">______________
