Replacing O'Reilly

With the O'Reilly Factor ending in Q1 2009, what will 1020 replace with. Will Dennis Miller move up to 10 PM? Since Miller just lost his NY clearance, will the show even be around in Q1 2009?

Billo could be replaced by:

1) Another fresh new piece of humanity

2) The remains of the steel mill at Waterfront

3) An old time belching bus from the old Brentwood Bus Co.

4) an open manhole cover with lots of steam coming out.

5) Dead air

6) Old Paul Harvey shows back to back

7) Lee Atwaters greatest hit show

8) American Music featuring Bocephus and Ted Nugent

9) Radio nostalgia with Father Coughlin, Carl MacIntyre, and Gerald L.K. Smith

10) The Oswald Mosely Show

11) Audio rebroadcasts of Joe " Go gargle with razor blades" Pyne

12) The Colber Repor

I really like Dennis Miller's talk show. He's laid back, which comes off well when compared to other shows of his ilk.

Personally, I wish it was carried live somewhere. He has good guests from a wide variety of topics but also is open enough you could call him up with a question about sports or something.

The main thing is he is funny.

Anyway- the conventional wisdom is that they'd just put Boortz back on or move Miller up, but might I suggest that KDKA, for all of its criticism, is the one station that actually tries new talent out.

BIllo could also be replaced by bringing back heritage shows like: ( and other stuff)

1) Gabriel Heater
2) Westbrook Pegler
3) Arch Yancey from KIKK
4) Various late night preachers from KAAY in Little Rock circa 1968
5) The opening theme from Mutual News over and over
6) The sounds of buildings imploding
7) A rear wheel drive 1960 Buick spinning it's wheels in the snow
OR

Give airtime to these voices of reason:
1) David Duke
2) The sheriff of Maricopa Co. Arizona
3) Louis Farrakhan
4) All of the above together

Or best yet

5) The Sarah Palin Show-----it would combine the biting intellect of Billo and Faux News with the feel good spirit of Delilah. It's a winner. Just imagine Billo and Delilah in one show. OMG! Of course Air America could give Tina Fey a show at the same time. Then you would have a real radio war better than Bubba and MJ. down in Tampa
