Report confirms David Lee Roth is Canned

DLR Gone - 3/29 - This just in: CBS Radio has removed the low-rated David Lee Roth (right) from his post-Howard Stern morning slot at the company's stations in NYC, Philadelphia, Boston, and Pittsburgh. Just in time for the spring ratings sweep, which starts tomorrow. "JV And Elvis" now airs in NYC, at least. CBS recently flipped Philadelphia rocker WYSP, which carried Stern in morning drive, to "Free FM" all-talk with Roth in mornings. And it has plunged from 4th to 19th place in the ratings. We'll get more info later today about how the Junkies are doing as Stern's replacement at DC's WJFK-FM and Baltimore's WHFS when another round of Arbitrends gets released.....

DCRTV is just reporting what everyone else is- that Roth was "removed" from the air for today. There's still no official word on if it's permanent or not.

Radio and Records quotes a CBS official as saying that Roth will be back Friday. But it did say this day off was "unscheduled."

According to Hinckly in the NY Daily News, the CBS spokesperson said Roth took a two day trip to Miami and will be back Friday.

I listened to Jv and Elvis..this morning and they said David Lee Roth
was at a music conference and would be back. I liked their show.

All week during Diamond Dave's show rejoiner said "Broadcasting live from Miami" why is this all news?
