Report: Karel Returning To S.F. Radio

Rich Lieberman reports that Karel will be returning to the air locally via Green 960 (KKGN) beginning next Monday (January 11).

I guess it had to happen to one of these also ran San Francisco News/talk radio station wanabee's. How long before he steps into it again and finds himself on the outside looking for another job? My bet: Not long at all!

If Karel didn't screw up AT KGO-AM he would have replaced Bernie Wards 10pm Slot now. Look Karel and James Gabbert were potential Candidates to take Bernie Wards old time slot. But in Gabbert Case he ran Back to KOFY 20 because TV20 Fans want him there.

Yes, Karel screwed up, but there were a lot of other candidates to replace Bernie Ward. James Gabbert was NOT a serious candidate. He's rich and retired, but I guess he still loves radio and TV. So he enjoys filling in from time to time on KGO, and recording bumpers and occasional taped segments for KOFY-TV. But he's not "back" there either - in any full-time sense.
