Wow! I lived in the Eastern IL area from '91-'99 and never knew there were Indy and Evansville listings in that edition! It's a weird market, not only with the hyphenated Springfield-Decatur-Champaign market, but that south of Effingham somewhere was an area where there were three different markets in three successive counties.

I think Anabate was referring to the TV insert in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star that had listings for those channels he listed. The actual Eastern Illinois edition of TVG contained listings for all the Springfield/Decatur/Champaign, Terre Haute, and Peoria/Bloomington* stations, plus PBS stations in Olney (WUSI-16 relaying WSIU-8 Carbondale), Charleston (WEIU-51), and Jacksonville/Springfield (WSEC-14). WCEE-13 (now WPXS) Mt. Vernon, IL also was listed for a time in that edition.

*During the last 6 years of the Eastern IL edition, listings for Peoria's WAOE-59 (UPN, now My), which signed on officially in late 1999, were never, ever listed in that edition. But WAOE's listings were included in the Western Illinois edition (Peoria/Bloomington stations plus Quincy/Hannibal, Quad Cities, and the Springfield side of the S/D/C market). But then again, contrary to reports elsewhere on the web which stated that Eastern Illinois was the "home edition" for the Peoria/Bloomington stations, Peoria city proper and Peoria County received the Western Illinois edition, as did Tazewell County east of the Illinois River (but not sure about Woodford Co.). IIRC McLean County, where Bloomington is county seat, received the Eastern IL TVG. Ironically, Mason County, which is SOUTHWEST of Peoria and the forementioned Tazewell County, received the Eastern IL edition. (BTW, Springfield received the Eastern IL edition of TVG--but not sure what Jacksonville/Morgan County and Beardstown/Cass County received for sure--my guess would be Western IL for both those areas due to the Quincy stations, but not sure exactly).

All right, i would like to see some listings from the Terre Haute Tribune-Star for the years between 1986 and 1990.
