Request: Spokane, WA TV Listings (1996-1999)

Anyone have TV Guides from Spokane, WA from the late 90s? If so I'd love to see them posted! Also, if you have some just let me know!

The Stations are:

KREM-TV CBS2
KXLY-TV ABC4
KHQ-TV NBC6
KSPS-TV PBS7
KSKN-TV IND22 (became UPN22 in fall '97)
KAYU-TV FOX28

KSKN wasn't listed in TV Guide until sometime after "UPN 22" was launched. Before that, it was a HSN affiliate.

Spokane has always been an interesting tv market, as they not only serve much of Eastern Washington State, but their signals have been beamed into BC and Alberta, Canada, for years. The quality of local stations was always a bit higher there than in markets of similar size because of the this added audience. Charles Rowe, (former Chicago and Los Angeles anchor), spent many years in this market (KREM) before he retired. Even today, the Spokane TV market looks good, with quality news products that almost equal Portland or Salt Lake.

But KSKN went into LMA with KREM in 1995, and aired HSN except in the mornings, which then ran cartoons.

I'm not sure where you're getting 1995. They entered the LMA in the summer of 1996, but didn't get rid of HSN until the fall of 1997. If memory serves, the non-HSN programming prior to 1997 was only two hours a day, and it was third-rate stuff like Bananas in Pajamas, Sailor Moon and California Dreams (this programming started a few years before the LMA with KREM). The only place one could find listings for KSKN during this era was The Prevue Channel on cable. Our local paper didn't even add the station to its listings until late 1997.

You meant that in Summer 1996, it went like this...

7:30 AM - Bananas in Pajamas
8:00 AM - Sailor Moon
8:30 AM - California Dreams

That could be right; I don't remember for sure. It was so long ago. I think there was another show on weekdays, but I don't remember what it was. I know that on Sundays, they showed The Wall Street Journal Report.
