Did ABC ever air specials instead of their soaps on Thanksgiving and did NBC air specials the day after Thanksgiving. In 2001 NBC air a NASCAR race postponed because of 9/11 the day after Thanksgiving.

ABC used to air cartoons (the same ones from Saturday morning) on Thanksgiving opposite football on NBC and CBS.

I always thought ABC aired cartoons on Friday after
Thanksgiving, although in 1976 I know they ran Krofft
Supershow on Thanksgiving afternoon.
I know that ABC has aired NCAA football
games on Thanksgiving afternoon; the 1971 Oklahoma-
Nebraska game we discussed at length last year aired

I can vaguely remember CBS and possibly NBC showing Saturday morning cartoons on the Friday after Thanksgiving as well, although they probably didn't do it for as long as ABC did.

I remember CBS airing a rerun of the old Krofft show "Land of the Lost" back in 1990.
