Requesting quiet ... Requesting quiet ... Requesting quiet ...

ENOUGH!

If I never again have to hear "I'm Not In Love" by 10CC on Useless Classics ...

The song is bad enough but over time I might be able to adjust to it as I have with so many songs on Dial Global, which at least hasn't forgotten what adult standards is. But I will never accept that new-age sounding annoying mess in between the lyrics, with the eerie female voice saying those words that are the title of this topic. The instrumentals are new age anyway. Smooth jazz, but never ... oh, who cares? Pointless Classics can no longer be standards. Let's just accept that.

LOL!!! ;D These are the actual lyrics to that part of the song:

(Be quiet, big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)
(Big boys don't cry)

My radio has an "on-off" switch.

Yeah, and mine also has a tuning dial and push button pre-sets...perfect for rotten or over-played songs, advertising and boring talk radio.

db

But play it backwards, and it sounds just like Diana Krall!

Because some of the "good songs" don't "sell" so well with listeners these days.

Listen to the new Queen Latifa CD. There is life. Move up a notch to what "good music" is ... not just the burned out stuff that is rapidly aging and not making any money.

Or, buy an iPod.

This is why terrestrial radio is so boring. They play the same tired songs and artist over and over again. You know what their going to play every day. Also most stations in my area are the same formats.I have 4 lite rock stations 2 top 40,6 country and 2 r and bs yet there is no room on the dial for beautiful music and smooth jazz.Radio needs to go back to variety.
