RESPECTING YOUR LISTENERS PT 2 (Former Morning Show(s) & Other Good Stuff)

But first, I must create a new topic about my personal thoughts on the former morning show of KKFR. The only reason I stop here at this thread first is because this thread was originally (but designed not to be obviously) related to that new topic

I'm still planning on doing this, by the way. Just haven't had time to organize my thoughts

OK! Let me just get this out of the way pretty quickly.

GETTING STRAIGHT TO THE POINT, let me just say this; Joey Boy & Lady La; Regardless of what you thought of them, you must admit they did put it down and did one hell of a job the best way they knew how. However, I will say that it was definitely much better when The Nutz were, well, The Original Nutz in the morning! The tag teaming and teamwork was great and they sounded incredible.

IN REGARDS TO RESPECTING YOUR LISTENERS:
It was really no big deal to begin with, at least to me, but I'll still introduce it, since it is somewhat worth talking about. They (The Nutz) had topics in the morning where they ask people's opinions, and you either called in to agree with Lady La or Joey Boy. One morning, they had a debate on what I'd consider to be a rather serious topic and I randomly decided to call in upon "request". I never met or spoke to lady La, but I'm guessing that Joey Boy didn't want anyone to call in and hit them with an opinion based on a logical, common sense, and thoughtful point of view that was in regards to why Lady La was right in that particular situation, despite the fact that it was a serious topic they were bringing to the table. That's the only explanation I can give for how the short phone call went. Why I call it "respecting your listeners?" Because odds are if I "dealt with it", then there are probably thousands of other listeners who have put up with worse (and were probably foolish enough to get rude and escalate an unnecessary situation over the phone).

Anyway, I really shouldn't just "beat up on KKFR former morning show" for this because I've also called in to KFYI and other stations with different viewpoints in the past, and... well, I'll just leave it at that. The way in which I constructed that last sentence is pretty much self explanatory.

Well, over all, to some degree I do miss how Phoenix mornings used to be on the rhythmic side of things, and by saying that, I'm really supporting / praising rather than bashing the people who used to rule the morning airwaves.

REMEMBER THIS? http://boards.radio-info.com/smf/index.php?action=printpage;topic=152503.0
Boy, times surely do change, and fast, too! Last year around this time was my favorite year for the sounds of Power 98.3 musical formatting! A few things seemed to change there around the beginning of this year, in addition to KZON shifting more towards my favorite sounds of the new sound of rhythmic hits. Therefore, of course this, combined with the new generation sound of top 40 rhythmic music, made this year the SUMMER OF JAMZ for me.

Ciento Uno Punto Cinco ;D

Well... I've said all I have to say here and have no interest on saying more in regards to this thread, therefore this may very well be one of those few posts where I talk once, full detail, and I'm done. I may not come back to this, but others may feel free speak on it if they wish.

Enjoy your day folks.
