Resteranteur Al Copeland dead at 64

The well known and flamboyant Al Copeland passed away Sunday at the age of 64 in Germany. He built his chicken empire that would become Popeyes in Arabi in 1972 which he lost when he defaulted in some loans in the late 1980s.

I put it on here since he was basically a very covered media figure in New Orleans with his resterant empire, his offshore boat racing, his motorcycles, and most of all his home decorating for Christmas that brought most of the media attention.

This is a person who some days had more airtime than local anchors.
