Results 101.5 move to Davis

When I first heard of KMJE's move, I thought they would likely utilize the existing 500' KSFM tower, just northeast of town. Without doing any research beyond that, I assume that option has been proposed and either, (A) the KSFM tower location conflicts with short-spacing requirements of another station, or (B) the KSFM tower owner won't allow the move-in....or...both

The COL-transmitter location can be quirky...

102.5 COL is Woodland; Tx in Davis

104.3 COL is Davis; Tx in Woodland

101.5 COL is Woodland; Tx in Davis

??!?!?!?

It does. Look at the map in the article via the second link I posted. I'm sure they could use an alternate location.....but.....they'd have to alter the antenna patern and my guess is THAT would effect coverage into Sac, which I'm assuming is the objective here.
