-------------

The host of "What's The Story?" was John K.M. McCaffery.
I remember him briefly in the '60s as the first host of "Alumni
Fun," a Sunday-afternoon show from the producers of "GE
College Bowl" and similar in format except that all the players
were celebrity alumni of their colleges. He lasted one year
(1963) and was replaced first by Clifton Fadiman of "Information
Please" fame, then by Peter Lind Hayes (I've seen a picture of
him hosting the show and he tried his darndest to look like Allen
Ludden).
