The Carol Burnett Show edition aired on WAGA, WDEF and WMAZ was a repeat of the Oct. 2, 1967 installment (Ep. #1.4) which was Tim Conway's first appearance on the show - of which he made over 30 prior to being named a regular in 1975. (One can see the full edition, in the glorious color elicited by Norelco's PC-70's, at the Paley Center for Media in New York, as I have.)

So WSB prempted NBC's Danny Thomas Theater and I Spy ( a ground breaking program at the time, with Bill Cosby, and controversial in the south). I'm surprised WJRJ didn't pick those up, or did WSB air them at a later date?

9:30 News Conference (a/k/a "Monday News Conference")

If this show aired only on Mondays, what did WSB air in this slot for the rest of the week?

WSB aired "Today In Georgia" from 9-10 AM Tuesday through
Friday. I might add that Phil Donahue on WAGA proved to be
"TIG"'s undoing; starting in the mid-'70s WSB began moving it
to different timeslots to get it away from Donahue, but he proved
too strong a lead-in to CBS's morning lineup on Channel 5 and WSB
finally pulled the plug on "TIG" around 1978 or '79. Even if it had
continued, Channel 2 would have had to change the name to something
like "Good Morning Georgia" after the switch to ABC in 1980.

As for "I Spy," I don't think racism was involved here, since Channel 2
had carried the show from the beginning; the station had also established
itself as one of the most racially-tolerant in the South. I think it was more
a matter of declining ratings; that year "I Spy" was on against Carol Burnett
on CBS and "Big Valley" on ABC, and Channel 2 apparently decided sometime
during the season that movies could compete better (NBC apparently agreed,
because it added a Monday-night movie in the fall of '68).On top of that,
the spy craze was winding down; "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." was canceled
in January 1968, and "The Avengers" would get just one more season.
But after "I Spy" ended its network run the reruns were a staple on WAGA for
several years.

There were, however, two NBC affiliates in Georgia and one in Florida that
flatly refused to carry "I Spy" from the beginning: WALB Albany and WSAV
Savannah, GA; and WESH Daytona Beach/Orlando.

...not really; it's been 16 years since KTVK/3 Phoenix lost its ABC affiliation, but the local Phoenix production Good Morning Arizona continues to run on both KTVK and KMSB/v11 (Fox) Tucson; ABC affiliates KNXV/15 Phoenix and KGUN/9 Tucson run Good Morning America (and Good Morning Tucson on KGUN) directly against Good Morning Arizona...

...did any other stations in Albany, Savannah and/or Daytona Beach/Orlando pick up the NBC screenings of I Spy, or has it run there in syndicated reruns?...

Definitely not Albany, as WALB was the only game in town at the time, with all other TV coming from Tallahassee (WCTV), Columbus (WRBL and WTVM) and Macon (WMAZ).
