9 PM Hugh Hefner (Buddy Greco, Shari Lewis, Canned Heat)
...interesting. How many Southern stations picked up Playboy After Dark? Hef usually claims that his earlier series, Playboy's Penthouse, never got any Southern affiliates because he made it a point to schedule an ethnically diverse guest list on every show; the first Playboy's Penthouse featured a three-way discussion between Hef, Lenny Bruce and Nat "King" Cole...

WAVY, the NBC affiliate in Hampton Roads, carried Hef, possibly
some station(s) in Florida, but that's all I can think of. Somehow
I suspect the Playboy connection scared away some of the more
conservative stations.
