WTCG/17 did at 1 PM. They’d been running a movie at the time since around 1970.

As far as I remember, WTCG/WTBS ran an afternoon movie for years in the slot after Perry Mason, and leading into the mid-afternoon cartoon block (Flintstones/Tom & Jerry/Bugs Bunny).

And from 1968 to 1972 (as WJRJ then WTCG) they'd clear NBC and ABC daytime shows that WSB and WQXI (now WXIA) passed up. They started running afternoon movies when Let's Make A Deal, which 17 ran when it was on NBC, moved to ABC and thus cleared on WQXI.

I didn't catch the movie on Channel 17. There often was one, in other markets starting about 4:30 and ending when the evening news began. Not in Atlanta at this point, apparently.

11 had an afternoon movie in the late 60s starting at 3:30. The ABC shows at 3:30 and 4:00 aired later on same day delay—One Life To Live on channel 17 at 4, and Dark Shadows on channel 11 at 5:30.
