Having lived in CT all my life, this event was later to become the Canon Sammy Davis, Jr. GHO. Now it's the Buick Championship played at the TPC in Cromwell, CT.
 
...ah, the Starland Vocal Band! From Chart-Topping One-Hit Wonder to
Summer Replacement TV Series to Oblivion in less than a calendar year!
I do remember their show....it was kind of in the death throes of
the Sonny and Cher/Mac Davis/Tony Orlando and Dawn format
musical variety show.
