3:30 Orson Welles (ABC)
...there are several later (mainly June thru August) linechecks of Welles' 1946 ABC news commentary program at http://www.archive.org/details/1946OrsonWellesCommentaries -- not too bad, really. I believe his strident insistence on needling Batesburg, South Carolina, over the Isaac Woodard beating incident http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_Woodard led a batch of Southern affiliates to cancel the show, leading in turn to ABC itself pulling the plug on Welles. In fact, the 18 August broadcast at archive.org starts out being about one South Carolina theater banning an engagement of Welles' then-new film, The Stranger, and his being burned in effigy at a related protest rally there...
