Wonder why radio only got clearance to simulcast the middle half-hour of Perry Como, as opposed to the entire hour.

As far as WQXR 94.5: Either it's a typo, or the fact that they came to New York City by way of Syracuse is news to me.

What was this exactly? Some type of one-on-one contest similar to baseball's Home Run Derby series?

Vic Stasiuk was at one time a player/coach for the old Pittsburgh Hornets. I believe he went on later
to coach the NHL's Vancouver Canucks.

The radio segment was broadcast over NBC Radio, basically encouraging viewers to watch TV and listen to the radio broadcast at the same time. While doing research on the listings, the only one of the markets listed with a station on 94.5 was Syracuse, so I used that by process of elimination. If anyone out there has any more knowledge as to the radio markets back then (or has a list of NBC Radio affiliates at the time), feel free to chime in :)

That's my guess; the listings were quite stingy as to what it involved...
