KIVI airing LOVING at 9:30 AM directly off the ET feed is hilariously poor time slot. I’m surprised they didn’t carry Edge of Night even though the show was on its final legs (it ended in December 84).

And to think critics bemoaned the return of Jeopardy! because Alex Trebek, the guy who did High Rollers, was the host instead of Art Fleming. It wouldn't be long before those critics started apologizing.

Not that weird for the Mountain zone--CBS's long lived soaper "Love of Life" aired on most MTZ stations at 9:30am. IIRC, none of the networks offered Mountain zone feeds until the late 80s so airing direct East Coast feeds of daytime shows was surprisingly common.

I see KBCI actually did this with the entire CBS daytime schedule except for $25,000 Pyramid and Press Your Luck which aired at 2 and 2:30 after Guiding Light.

This incarnation of Jeopardy premiered on my 6th birthday.

Just saw KBCI’s current schedule (now KBOI) and they still air TPIR at 9 and Y&R at 10. I don’t understand why they don’t air an hour of news at 11am or noon since they air Y&R at 10 (the noon/11am feed). They could air Feud at 11 and then B&B at 11:30 (the eastern feed). They air Feud at 11:30 and noon then B&B at 12:30. If they are going to air a half hour of news at 11am then they might as well air Y&R at 11:30 before B&B and Feud at 10 after Price Is Right. Or at 9 and TPIR at 10. The kicker is they air a noon news on their CW sister station as well.

If you look at old schedules for Milwaukee in the 80s, the local stations aired Y&R and All My Children at 9am on a one day delay. It is odd to see those soaps both being moved to 9am in the same market.

When I was doing the Radio side in 73~75 there KBOI-TV used (looks like what I remember was there) were a pair of upgraded Ampex VR-2000 Quad VTRs to delay network programming and play anything else that wasn't live. One was owned by CBS and was "loaned" to Ch 2. It was a real keystone cops routine at times.

At one time WBTV aired Y&R at 10am on a one day delay, when it first expanded to an hour. It later moved to in pattern when Top O’The Day moved to 11:30am from noon which put TPIR on a one day delay instead at 10:30am.
