Unusual to see multiple OTA networks airing the Olympics (notice Argentina's association football game airing on America 2, Telefe, and Canal 13)

Yeah, but that was because of soccer, the most important sport in the country. They also aired other Olympic disciplines like basketball and volleyball. Cable channel TyC Sports aired 14 hours of coverage everyday live from Atlanta (from 10am until midnight UTC-3) broadcasting most events from all countries, and the OTA stations mostly aired the disciplines where the Argentine teams were involved, and from a few foreign teams as well.
