So, this answers the questions others have had on my post of New York schedules of this date: That Jets/Cowboys exhibition game was an NBC national broadcast.

And would anyone know what the title of the Arnie episode was where Vito Scotti guested? I suppose one would have to look at original TVG's from earlier in the season to find out, and therefore extrapolate from IMDb?
