...yeah, but it still was probably closer to the original than his desecration of Little Richard's "Tutti-Frutti" was. The Seekers should be thankful they lived in Australia when America was being subjected to this program ;D ...

Yes he was -- don't know his first name, but Haslam's bookstore has been a longtime St. Pete institution, which is still around today. Mr. Haslam, whose weekly book show would later move to WTOG, died in the mid-1980s.

Been there a few times myself, although not in many years. I'd still rather spend hours in a shop like Haaslam's before I spend 10 minutes in a Barnes & Noble, etc.

...to search for some newfangled thing called a "DTV converter."
Not having any luck, they get on the telephone and ask Sarah
to ring Sen. Rocky-feller's office. Their "don't take away my TV"
complaint finds its way to the senator in Washington and voila!--
the DTV transition is delayed until June. ;)

WTVT Ch. 13 Tampa (CBS)
7:30 Coliseum

Mid-season replacement for the failed fall series Jericho. No, not
that Jericho, the first Jericho (fall '66).

From the Brooks & Marsh synopsis, Coliseum seemed to be in some
ways a revival of International Showtime, but was itself gone in June.

The only difference is that "Coliseum" had a different
guest host each week (Art Linkletter on this particular
night), whereas "International Showtime" was hosted by
Don Ameche for its entire four-year run. A better example
of a revival of "International Showtime" (by the same producers,
in fact) was "Circus!" with Bert Parks as host; it ran in syndication
back around 1972 and was rerun on WGN for years.

A couple of other things. First, re Haslam's, what I liked about
that store was that it had both new and used books, and its
inventory would put Borders and Barnes & Noble to shame.
Second, I notice some similarities in the Tampa daytime schedules
for 1967 and when I moved there in '73. For instance, Mike Douglas
was still on Ch. 13 at 9 AM, while Merv was still on Ch. 8 at 4:30;
Ch. 8 had a morning movie from 9-10:30 (which they dropped in the
fall of 1973 and carried the entire NBC daytime lineup in pattern for
the three years I lived there) and a 1 PM newscast. I also notice
Mike at 4:30 on Ch. 11; he was still there in the '70s, while Merv
was on at 10:30 AM. Of course, the network schedules had changed.

You may notice that both ABC stations (9 and 10) carried Peter
Jennings at 5:30; ABC had four feeds of its newscast at the time,
and we got Jennings at 5:30 in Norfolk in 1967. By the time I moved
to Florida, Howard K. Smith and Harry Reasoner were anchoring ABC's
newscast with only three feeds (6, 6:30, and 7); Ch. 10 carried them
at 6; Ch. 9, at 6:30. Walter Cronkite was on Ch. 13 at 7 in the '70s,
as he was on 11 for a time.

I seem to recall Circus! airing in New York on WCBS-TV (Ch. 2) from 1971 to about 1973.

What normally aired on the NBC affiliates that week.

WESH and WFLA carried the "Today" show until 9 AM.
WESH carried "Hennesey" at 9 and Burns and Allen at
9:30; WFLA carried movies from 9-10:30.
