None of our local stations except Channel 5 even had morning newscasts. They had 6:30am news. The other two just had the national news with local cut-ins. Channel 5 was still a couple months away from extending their evening news to an hour at 6.

Amazing the difference compared to now. 4 of the 5 local stations (except 24) signed off Saturday night/Sunday morning, and all 5 signed off early Monday mornings.
 
I've found out that the late Bert Convy was originaly going to host the 1990 ABC Match Game revival, but abonded due to illness. Sadly Bert Convy died in 1991. Instead, Portland-born Ross Shaffer became the host. Unfortunately, MG 1990 was the last ABC show to broadcast at noon (1990-91).
