Retro: Chicago, il tv schedule from monday january 1, 1990

Since I just did NYC's TV Schedule From The 1st Day of the 1990s, I thought I now do one for Chicago in which another local TV station in Chicago, WGN (Like WWOR in NYC) had programming replacements on it's cable superstation feed, outside of Chicago. Like before, you're actually seeing the local feed's schedule as this was taken from the Chicago Tribune.

Why did channel 32 in Chicago delay the Roses Parade at 1 a.m. the next morning in order to air an I Love Lucy Marathon?

A nine-and-a-half-hour marathon, by the way.

I never knew of a Fox station to ever air the Rose parade but if they were going to, you’d think they’d air it live.

KTTV used to air their own coverage of the Rose Parade for years, competing against rival KTLA and the network telecasts on CBS and ABC, and would often syndicate their feed to other Metromedia/Fox-owned stations.
