I love how there were 4 different episodes of Dinah! running in 4 markets on one day.

Yup...and there's a clip of it on YouTube. ABC was providing the pool feed and, after the sound failed, ABC's Harry Reasoner was briefly heard on NBC (and possibly CBS as well) until they faded the audio and cut to David Brinkley in studio.

I seem to recall at one point during the outage, Ford and Carter (still standing at their podiums, waiting patiently) happened to glance at each other and exchanged a brief smile/chuckle over the absurdity of it all.
