On November 3, 1972, 3 days after this evening's episode
of Bonanza aired, NBC announced the veteran western's
cancellation after 14 seasons.

Chicago had two monochrome UHF stations in 1972! WCIU wouldn't go color until in 1974, after WXXW had gone off the air. Then again Chicago was also the last major city in the U.S. to get cable--in 1985.

Please post listings for Saturday 10/28/1972 and Sunday 10/29/1972.
I've already posted a Saturday and Sunday schedule from Chicago the previous month, September 16 and 17.
