I think you mean Too Close For Comfort, because Ted Knight had a self-titled show in 1978 that
lasted only one month.

Not the same show in this instance...

The final season of Too Close for Comfort (when Henry and Muriel, with their then-infant son, moved across the water from San Francisco to Marin County) was re-titled "The Ted Knight Show". When the show went into off-network reruns later on (by fall 1987), the Too Close for Comfort title used for all six seasons of the series.

This seems to indicate that WPTA-21 was delaying network programming that year (Indiana did not observe Daylight Saving Time in the Eastern time zone then). They had stopped by the time I moved there in 1988. WTHR in Indianapolis was the first to start delaying network programming in the state, which they did by taking NBC's Mountain Time feed, which lined up perfectly with 8-11pm EST during the DST months.
