41 Independent signs on at 2:30 and off at 8 PM. I'd guess they were kinda new, like less than a year old?

WDRB-TV/41 started up on 2/28/1971. It didn't air a full day's programming until 1979, then became a Fox affiliate on 4/5/87.

WDRB signed on around 10AM on Sundays. Match Game panelists that day (on 9, 11 and 27) were Steve Allen, Kay Ballard, Charles Nelson Reilly, Fannie Flagg, Richard Dawson and Brett Somers Klugman.

Another mistake...my apologies. WDRB and WXIX aired Merv Griffin at 8-9:30.
