This was also the first episode aired when the series premiered on 09/09/66.

One of ABC's "advance premieres" as the '66-'67 season nominally started on Mon 09/12
(although NBC "advanced" Star Trek on Thu 09/08).
 
I remember that it was the first episode of "Time Tunnel,"
but I thought it somehow appropriate that ABC would choose
to rerun it on April 14, the anniversary of the ship's sinking.
Maybe some cable channel should have aired it yesterday in
observance of the 100th anniversary of the sinking.
