that, since at the time, Chs. 12 and 27 were both owned
by Taft, 12 simply fed it to a willing 27)

their vaudeville talents)

So if WKYT 27 got the 3:30 and 4 PM ABC shows off of a network feed--even if it was
via a microwave link from WKRC 12 ('KRC preempted them)--why the heck wouldn't
WKYT air the network feed for Action at 4:30?

And I thought Mountain Time Zone stations had bizarre schedules in the '60s! :D

Good question, but it's just a wild guess that WKYT
took the delayed feed of "Action," since it took a lot
of delayed feeds from WKRC, as well as simulcasting
the local "Skipper Ryle" show from Cincinnati at various
times. Again, it's just a wild guess that WKRC turned down
the two soaps that preceded "Action," but WKYT wanted them, so...
And anyway, "Action" belonged at 4:30 PM, not 10:30 AM when its
audience was in school (I used to hate WVEC Norfolk for carrying
"Action" at 8 AM).

None of this business of carrying a show at the in-pattern
time, yet the episode is delayed, makes any sense. I'm with
the person who suggested that someone who worked in a control
room (preferably at WKYT or WWAY) in those days come forth and
explain the practice.
