I'm guessing the 'Pro Soccer' was likely the NASL.

I assume they produced their own newscast. Not an inexpensive proposition for an Independent in those days.
 
A couple of observations. First, if KTTV was Channel 11, then I'm surprised that it had dropped the 24 hours a day broadcasting that it was doing in 1971 and 1972. Second, as with the other TV station schedules you listed, there are quite a few repeats. I'm guessing that Los Angeles had so many independent stations compared to most other major cities in the country that there really wasn't enough syndicated fare to go around. For comparison at the time, Phoenix, had only one independent outlet (KPHO-5); Tucson had only one (KZAZ-11, which I believe was actually licensed to Nogales); and San Francisco had only one (Channel 2, though I don't recall its callsign).

I've been reading all these schedules. The original poster didn't list a source (which is a helpful piece of data), but it appears that the original source only provided listings from 5 or 6 am to 12 midnight. The listings for KNXT, KNBC and KABC also end at midnight and I'm sure that wasn't really the case as all three networks had programs scheduled after midnight on weekdays.
