>Interesting that CJOC carried some U.S. programs,
just as Canadian networks (esp. CTV) do today. I
see Road Of Life, Big Sister, Woman Of America,
Pepper Young's Family, Right To Happiness, the
ubiquitous Ma Perkins (she aired on both CBS and
NBC in the States), and Fibber McGee And Molly.

BTW, was Peter Jennings' dad anchoring CBC news
at this time?

...of course, The King's Men was the name of the vocal group that performed with Billy Mills' band on "Fibber McGee & Molly." I'm assuming that the program at 6:45 was their own spot outside the 7:30 show, as opposed to something unrelated coincidentially using the same name, but I'm wondering if they did their own NBC show that may have been carried on the CBC, a separate CBC program or possibly even a syndicated series of transcriptions (perhaps through MacGregor)?...<P ID="signature">______________
