This Conservative party conference is best remembered for an assassination attempt on Margaret Thatcher just 3 days later; she wasn't hurt but five others were killed.
Interesting to see lots of educational programming on both the BBC and ITV in the mornings. Does any of that still appear on UK TV, and if not when did it stop?
