A couple of points. There was a question about the CBS Morning News airing at 9 AM; was it a two-hour delay? No. At the time Mike Wallace's newscast aired at 10 AM (ET)/9 AM (CT). Seems CBS didn't want to put it against the "Today" show. But in 1965 it did, running for 25 minutes (7:05-7:30) with Wallace still anchoring. By the time the broadcast expanded to an hour (7-8 AM) in 1969, Joseph Benti was anchoring (I always liked Benti's successor, John Hart, although he got in trouble with Bill Paley for dressing too casually--in shirtsleeves, IIRC).
I also noticed the names of all the game-show hosts except for "Who Do You Trust?". Woody Woodbury had been hosting for about fifteen months (Johnny Carson left in September 1962--wonder what happened to him?
). "Trust" would have its last telecast Dec. 27, and Woody would go on to host a syndicated talk show in the late '60s. BTW, he'll be 99 this year (and Bob Barker will turn 100 if he makes it to December).
