A minor question: is there any content difference between the broadcasts of This Old House on PBS stations and the broadcasts on affiliated stations? Was it the same program that aired on PBS without any changes?

Still a true independent (WABU) and before MLB basically left OTA TV except for a weekly game (that's gone now too) and big events. 'This Week in Baseball' returned in 1997 after a few year hiatus. It endured until about 2010 or so when Fox ended it. I still miss it.
