I wonder if this was the Program Exchange-packaged half-hour show that started to be distributed around this time, as opposed to random shorts hand-selected by the stations.

I thought it wasn't until around 1990 when the pre-packaged version hit the airwaves?

WHAT? No Canadian listings?!

Nope, CHSJ was the only Canadian station that TVG ever listed in the Maine edition...according to copies in my archives, it was still listed in 1981, so it was likely dropped sometime in the early 80s. If people wanted Canadian listings, the Bangor Daily News would have filled their needs...

The wrestling on WPXT-TV channel 51 of Portland was WWF Superstars, of which I was a faithful viewer of in Old Orchard Beach at this time (I moved two weeks after this to Connecticut, though). The wrestling on WGME-TV channel 13 was the ICW group. The candle pin bowling show likely came from WLVI-TV channel 56 of Cambridge/Boston. Back then, WCSH-TV channel 6 had a nasty habit of preempting NBC SportsWorld, unless it was Major League Baseball or NFL Football. WCBB-TV (PBS) channel 10 of Augusta wouldn't become a part of MPBN until about 1992 or so.

WVII also ran ICW at one point in the Sunday 12:30pm slot, I've also seen a clip on YouTube that indicates that they also ran WWF at one point...

Perhaps. I've only been in Bangor once and that was in 1996, pretty much the last days of WWE doing syndication. WGME used to air ICW Wrestling. I knnow the late Randy Savage wrestled there for a time. So did his brother Lanny Poffo, who turned 53 on Thursday. I know that WPXT-TV channel 51 of Portland carried WWE until at least 1996. Coming back to 2011, I've seen very little of today's channel 51 or WPME-TV (MY) channel 35 of Lewiston. The Clarion Inn & Suites had the channel on the room's TV, but the LaQuinta nearby on Park Avenue did not.

The local cableco here (like many in the Maritimes in those days) picked up both WLBZ and WVII via microwave from Chamcook at that time, so I can personally attest that ICW did air on WVII around that time. The cableco here would dump those signals for their Detroit counterparts from Cancom around '88/'89 due to signal concerns, mainly from WVII whose signal would occasionally conk out from time to time (WLBZ and WABI had translators in Calais, near Chamoook, where WVII didn't).

These were the shorts complete with opening and closing credits. Channel 2 would also run them as filler at the end of their movies.

WWFX (Fox 104.7, Belfast) started in 1986 and I'm quite positive that the simulcast started shortly after they went on the air. According to Chuck Foster's website, "AHV" is still on the air and is America's longest running music video show.
