noon Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling!

WGME 13-CBS Portland
noon Prayer for World Peace

So on this day, I take it the Pope had the Hulkster in a sleeperhold!

The "wrestling" on WPXT-TV in this case was the syndicated WWF Superstars Of Wrestling, of which I used to be a faithful viewer of. I would move away from our cabin Old Orchard Beach just two weeks later, on Saturday, June 20th. (I had just finished up 10th grade and would move back to Connecticut.)

Reception was never really that good where I lived. I only had an indoor antenna with two telescoping rods. WCBB-TV channel 10 and WENH-TV channel 11 were always in fuzzy color at best. WPXT-TV would wave in and out if we had gusty winds. The old WNHT-TV channel 21 from Concord, NH (independent at the time) would pop in once in a while and would be quite weak.

That I wouldn't know, because I didn't have cable when I lived in Old Orchard Beach. I do know, however, that (at the time) Continental Cablevision of Saco and Old Orchard Beach carried WBZ, WCVB, WNEV (now WHDH), WSBK and WLVI. Of course, that was in September of 1989, before Syndex took effect.

The Maine Edition of TV Guide never listed any. The cable in Saco and Old Orchard Beach did carry CKSH-TV channel 9 from Sherbrooke, Quebec back then, though.

WHAT? NO CANADIAN CHANNELS? :(

I'm as surprised as you are - I would've expected at least CHSJ-TV would be on there.

I believe they previously listed both CHSJ and CTV affiliate CKLT (I think), but dropped them both earlier.

CHSJ was listed up til the early 80s (it was still listed in 1981, but was dropped by 1985), CKLT was AFAIK never listed in TVG's Maine edition-viewers wanting those listings had to rely on the Bangor Daily News.
